Helping with life’s challenges, including mental health conditions, but also helping people cope with day-to-day living, Caroline devises tailor-made treatment plans to help her clients work towards their goals!
To help people get to the help they need, there needs to be a number of ways to help them recognise that they have a mental health problem that they can’t overcome on their own, to have the ability to express what they are feeling, to know where they can get help, and to be willing to seek out that help.
Some of the main barriers to seeking help include:
- Stigma and embarrassment
- Problems recognising symptoms
- Preference for self-resilience
- Confidentially and trust
- Feelings of helplessness
What are effective facilitators of help-seeking?
- Social support and encouragement
- Having had positive past experiences
- Emotional confidence development
The importance of mental health is vital in our day-to-day living. If you feel like you or someone you know may need help please don’t hesitate to contact Caroline or speak with your regular practitioner at 3Ways about seeking help.
Caroline focuses on therapeutic practices that best suit the needs of each individual, assisting them to identify unhelpful behaviour patterns, learn more effective coping strategies, discover their own strengths and find solutions.
